Berner Oberland- Day Two

Headed up to Guttannen to ride the Gelmerbahn and hike around the lake.
The mountain streams reminded me of vacationing in Colorado when I was a kid.

Walking up to the funicular and suspension bridge.

Long way down!

The suspension bridge was a little wobbly but a cool experience.

Walked around a bit.

These were some stinky pigs. No one ate the schnitzel for lunch :)

Came upon a fun park at a small hotel.

Lunch time.

Off to the Gelmerbahn. It is one of the steepest funiculars in the world with a 106% gradient at one point.

It was so steep!

Erik was not to sure about this. I think sitting in the first row made it a little more intense.

Beautiful view.

The Gelmersee up top.

Couldn't believe Lukas chose to climb this on his own. Logan must be rubbing off on him.

This guy could throw rocks all day long.

Walked down these huge rocks below the damn.

Built a rock castle.

There were all of these bridges along the way.

Hi-yah.

And another rock.

There were little pools of water everywhere filled with tons of tadpoles. I have never seen so many tadpoles.

Time to go back down.

We didn't sit in the front this time and it wasn't as scary. Logan did not enjoy the ride down.

Stopped at the Thunersee for a little swimming.

Playing ball.

It was a little windy and cloudy.

The boys all jumped in!

Logan's opinion of the water.

Warming up in the sunshine.

Eating pistachios.

Watching the trout.

Our hotel in Interlaken.

Thai food for dinner.

Walked to get ice cream.

Saw tons of para-gliders. Told Lukas I would take him when he got older.
