Cow Show

Every year we have lived here there is a cow show in Sax (the town next to ours). The cows all get baths, brushed and fancied with huge bells. They walk from their farm to the show. All of the streets and driveways are roped off so the cows stay on their path (the main road through the villages). All of the locals get excited and watch the procession. Some of the herders dress in their original Swiss attire. What a sight to see! After the procession this year we walked down to the show to check it out.

Homemade goodies from the locals.

Giant bells.

Cow cookies.

Fun morning, but it was so stinky. We had to hose our shoes and the stroller down. Good thing the street cleaner came shortly after.  Life in the countryside. :)
