Majorca, Spain

Ever since we moved to Switzerland everyone talks about vacationing in Majorca, Spain. A little island south of Barcelona. I had wanted to plan a Mediterranean cruise for our family vacation this year, but found out being as pregnant as I would be they wouldn't allow me. So we decided on Majorca. We planned it completely for relaxation and family time, our first trip without sight seeing. I have to admit it was hard not planning a daily adventure itinerary. But honestly, our vacation could not have been more  perfect for all of us.

We spent everyday at the pool and beach. The fitness center and activities were great.  They had a fun kids club day and night that Lukas and Logan enjoyed, while Erik and I got to play tennis, go on a bike ride, enjoy the spa and have a date night.

View from our hotel. The water was so blue and crystal clear.

A little cove by our room.

Our hotel was situated on the edge of a small fishing village.

 Date night without the kids.

 Morning yoga.

 Out for a bike ride.

 Erik got a Spanish cut.

 Rooooaaaaarrrr!

Dinner time. It was so beautiful eating outside.

 Catching "pishies."

 Swimming in the ocean.

 Family pic.

 Our fishy castle.

Cheese.

Tubby time. Since we don't have a bathtub in our house, they were in heaven.

Dinner on the water in the town of Porto Petro.

Delicious seafood paella.

We rented a small boat and went exploring. The water was beautiful.

Cool rocks and caves along the shore.

Looking for fishies.

Lukas at the wheel.

Off to the pool.

There were pools situated throughout the resort so we had lots of swim time.

Watch out Dad.

 Reading books before bedtime.

Kids Club.

Breakfast time.

Had to try every dessert. Although my favorite was sorbet with gummies.

 Lukas and Isabella finding ladybugs.

Dancing.

BBQ night.

Wrestling with Dad.

Our last morning.

What an amazing trip!

Wake Up Lukas

Cute video of Logan waking up Lukas yesterday morning.

Father's Day

I am so lucky to have such a great dad. I am thankful for all the things he has taught me and I am happy to share them with my family. I am also thankful my husband is the best father our boys could have. The time they spend together is priceless and the bond they have will last a lifetime. I am also thankful to have a great father-in-law. All of these Dads share patience, love and understanding. Lukas and Logan will for sure succeed with their guidance.
A few pics of Dad's special day.
Making biscuits and eggs for Dad.

Opening his new grill and burger stuff.

Splashing at the pool.

Biking back from the pool. High fives to Lukas for biking over 4 miles.

Stopped at the horse show on the way home.

Grilling rack of lamb.

What a wonderful day with a wonderful person. Thanks for all you do for our family.

Christmas 2011

Ok, so I am about 7 months late with this post. I guess it is better now then never. We had a wonderful Christmas in 2011. GG came to visit for three weeks. It was filled with lots of snow and holiday festivities. I think Christmas time is always so beautiful here - the lights, Christmas markets...
This was the best picture out of about 20 of the four of us.

We made fondue for Christmas Eve.
The kids tried it, but were not to fond of it.
A few Christmas fireworks.
Our tree.

Dad had to carry Lukas in to see what Santa had brought because he had a broken leg.
Santa brought Logan drums.
And Lukas a guitar.
Lots of goodies in his stocking.

New sleep sacks

Fin McMissile.
A few last pics of GG's visit. Lunch up in Malbun before Mom and Dad hit the slopes.
She and Lukas had so much fun. Tried to stay up late on her last night.

Our Garden

The veggie garden.

Herbs, spinach, lettuce, chard and strawberries.

Potatoes! First time to grow them. So excited to see how they turn out.

Taking care of the cherry tomatoes.

Logan is ready for potato digging.

Red currants.

Blueberries.

Our first harvests- spinach, chinese peas, zucchini, potatoes and baby carrots. The potatoes were so much fun to dig out of the ground.
