Sand Castles in Rorschach

Last Friday we took Lily on her first outing. We went up to Lake Constance to see the sand castles. The sand castles we not much to rave about but we had a good time and everything went smoothly.

It had rained earlier in the day do they were doing a little touching up.

This one was my favorite. I think it also won first prize.

We ended up having more fun at the park that was close by.

More Veggies

We have had quite a bit of heat and sunshine. Not only am I loving it, but so is my garden. My squash plants are producing like crazy.  I have picked over 40 squashes (yellow, green, light green, crooked necked, 8 ball, pumpkins) from are garden. The peppers, beans, eggplant and brussels are in full bloom.     The boys are loving the tomatoes and cucumbers.
This was a giant zucchini that made delicious soup.

This just might be the only okra growing in Switzerland.  Soon to be in jambalaya.

My giant spanish pumpkins. Looking forward to the pie, soup and doughnuts.

Last Few Days as a Family of Four

Saturday morning walk to the bakery to get breakfast.

Ice cream mustaches.

Hike and picnic by the waterfalls in Unterwasser. There was just a little bit of water flowing.

Hugs for GG.

Throwing rocks.

Park outside a place we ate in Austria.

August 15th is Liechtenstein's national holiday. They have a big festival in the town of Vaduz. You can also walk up to the castle and meet the prince. He opens up the garden and serves beer and snacks to all whom visit. We chose to make the hike up. It was long and hot, and I was very pregnant!

The boys with their hot red faces.

Rode the bus down to the festival.

Dinner by the duck pond.

The next day Lily arrived! :)

Duck Pond and Circus Animals

We were supposed to go to the zoo this day, but the weather turned rainy. We stopped to feed the ducks and giant trout instead.  To our surprise the circus animals had just arrived. The zoo had come to us!
If only we were allowed to fish for these trout.

Riding the carousel.

Ice cream cone treat.

Nightly Walks

We love when it stays light late and the weather is nice. All of us enjoy going for a walk after dinner. We stop by friends houses, pick blackberries, kick the soccer ball, see the horses or other animals, or dodge the down poor under a tree.

Stickerheads.
 Creepy goat.
The horses always poke their heads out to say hi.

Soccer in the fields.

Random Pics and Summer Outings

Can't believe school has started and summer break is over. We packed in a lot this summer. We all had a blast together. Here are a few random photos that were left out of my other posts.
Silly Logan.

A visit to the aquarium in Germany.

While looking for Nemo and Dori, we spotted Bruce.

This was one of my favorite things to do when I was about Lukas' age.
