Swiss Holiday Brunch

August 1st is the Swiss holiday. Most of the big farms do a brunch for all the locals. This was the first year we went. Fresh milk, cheese, jams, bread, meat, eggs... All fresh from the farm. We went to one in the next town over from Frumsen. What a great experience. We rode our bikes. There must have been over two hundred people attending. We ate yummy homemade goods, listened to yodelers, watched the cowbell procession and saw all the farm animals, Lukas got to ride on a pony and jump in the Jupiter jump.

That night we grilled at our house with some friends and watched and shot off fireworks.

Unterwasser Waterfalls

Found a little trail up the mountain behind our house that led to waterfalls. It was beautiful. We even got to go through a couple caves on the way.

Off to School

"I will go to school. Dad will go to work. You will go running. And Logan will take a nappy."
Lukas

And so it goes, we were off to our first day of school. We sang a song about school and our new friends the whole way. This kid was EXCITED!

When we arrived, we ran into a few of our friends. It was good to see familiar faces. Lukas changed his shoes, hung his bag and grabbed his water. I think he was almost to a full on sprint from the time we got out of the car until he walked into the classroom. Lukas went up to a few kids and told them his name and then asked what their name was. I was so proud of him. I hope he remembers better than Mom. :) Then he ran to the cars to play with his new friends. I thought to myself, "Is that it? Is that my cue to go?" The teacher said "yes." I was a little sad when I left. I was expecting him to not want me to leave. Instead, I barely even got a goodbye.
No longer a baby or a toddler, my big boy!

Can't wait until 12:30 today! :)
